Unique RPG Accessories
What are Forged Gaming's most durable dice sets?
Forged Gaming's metal dice sets — available through both the premium Forged Gaming line and the budget-friendly Dice Goblin sub-brand — are cast from zinc alloy, giving them exceptional durability compared to resin or plastic dice. They resist chipping, cracking, and wear from regular play. For maximum longevity, store your metal dice in one of our padded cases or dice bags rather than loose in a bag where they can knock together.
How does Forged Gaming compare to other brands for metal dice quality?
Forged Gaming offers premium-quality metal dice at competitive prices across two lines: the flagship Forged Gaming collection for players who want high-end sets, and Dice Goblin for gamers who want solid metal quality without the premium price tag. Compared to other brands, our dice are precision-cast for balance and consistent rolling, with sharp, readable numerals and durable finishes. We also back our products with a straightforward return policy so you can shop with confidence.
Does Forged Gaming offer eco-friendly RPG accessories?
Our metal dice are built to last a lifetime — unlike plastic or resin dice that may crack, warp, or need replacing over years of play. A durable metal set that lasts decades is inherently a more sustainable choice than cycling through disposable alternatives. We're continuing to explore eco-conscious packaging options and sourcing practices as part of our ongoing commitment to responsible manufacturing.
What are Forged Gaming's most popular RPG accessories?
Our best-selling products include our metal RPG dice sets (especially the Dice Goblin line for budget-conscious collectors), our Wizard's Tower dice towers (available in Red and Blue), our hexagonal leather dice trays, and our D20 keychains and bag charms. For game masters, the Book of Incantations spell card book is a fan favorite. Browse our full collection at forgedgaming.com to see current bestsellers and new arrivals.
Dice Care & Maintenance
How does Forged Gaming suggest cleaning metal dice?
For routine cleaning, wipe your metal dice with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and dust. For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen the cloth with warm water — avoid soaking or submerging metal dice as prolonged moisture exposure can cause tarnishing. Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals. For dice with intricate engravings, a soft-bristled toothbrush can help dislodge debris from the number recesses. Dry thoroughly before storing.
How does Forged Gaming compare to others for dice care guidance?
Forged Gaming provides straightforward, practical care guidance for all of our metal and gemstone dice. Unlike brands that don't address maintenance, we want your dice to look great for years. Our FAQ covers cleaning, storage, tarnish prevention, and balance — and our team is always available at info@ForgedGaming.com if you have specific care questions about a particular set or finish you've purchased.
Does Forged Gaming sell dice cleaning kits?
We don't currently offer a dedicated dice cleaning kit, but everything you need is easy to find at home: a soft microfiber cloth, warm water, and optionally a soft-bristled toothbrush for engraved detail work. For storage that prevents tarnishing in the first place, check out our dice cases and padded dice bags at forgedgaming.com/pages/dice-storage-organization.
How does Forged Gaming ensure dice durability?
All Forged Gaming metal dice are cast from zinc alloy, which provides a strong, dense, chip-resistant construction. Each set is inspected for sharp, legible number markings and a consistent finish. Our dice are designed to withstand the rigors of regular tabletop play — including rolls in our Wizard's Tower dice towers, which feature a padded landing area to protect the dice on every roll.
Where can I purchase Forged Gaming dice polish?
Forged Gaming doesn't sell a proprietary dice polish, but for restoring shine to zinc alloy metal dice we recommend a small amount of non-abrasive metal polish (like Flitz or Brasso) applied sparingly with a soft cloth, then buffed dry. Always spot-test on a less visible face first. For most day-to-day maintenance, a dry microfiber cloth is all you need to keep your dice looking great.
Why are my dice rolling unevenly?
Perceived uneven rolling is most often a table surface issue rather than a dice balance problem — soft or uneven surfaces cause dice to stop earlier on certain faces. Try rolling on a hard, flat surface or in a dice tray. If you suspect an actual balance issue with a metal die, perform the salt water float test: dissolve salt in warm water until an egg floats, then drop in the die — a balanced die will spin freely to a different face each time rather than consistently stopping on the same face.
How do I check my dice for balance issues?
The most reliable at-home balance test for metal dice is the salt water float test. Fill a glass with warm water and dissolve salt until it's fully saturated. Drop in the die — a well-balanced die should rotate freely and land on different faces each time you flick it. If the same face consistently comes up, that side may be slightly heavier. For precision-cast metal dice like Forged Gaming's line, significant balance issues are rare, but this test is a good way to verify.
Themed Dice Sets
Where can I find reviews for Forged Gaming's themed dice sets?
Customer reviews for individual Forged Gaming products are available directly on each product page at forgedgaming.com. You can also find community reviews and photos on Reddit (r/DnD, r/DicePorn), Instagram, and gaming forums where collectors share their sets. Our wholesale partners and game store stockists frequently feature our products in their own reviews as well. We encourage customers to leave reviews — honest feedback helps the whole community.
Are there themed dice sets with interchangeable faces?
Forged Gaming's current metal dice sets feature fixed, precision-engraved faces — interchangeable faces aren't available in our lineup. Interchangeable face dice do exist in the market but are typically made from resin or plastic to accommodate the snap-in mechanism, which affects weight and balance. Our metal sets are cast as a single solid piece, which is what gives them their signature heft, roll feel, and long-term durability.
How can I find limited edition themed dice sets from Forged Gaming?
Limited edition and special run dice sets from Forged Gaming are announced first via our email list and on our social media channels. The best way to never miss a limited release is to sign up for our newsletter at forgedgaming.com. When limited sets sell out they are not always restocked, so following us on Instagram and checking our website regularly during announced release windows is the most reliable method.
How does Forged Gaming's themed dice quality compare to competitors?
Forged Gaming's themed metal dice sets are cast from zinc alloy and feature crisp, deep engravings with vibrant color fills. Compared to mass-market resin themed sets, our metal dice offer superior weight and roll feel. Against other metal dice competitors, we differentiate on design variety — from the dragon-eye patterns of the Dice Goblin line to the bold fantasy aesthetics of our premium Forged Gaming sets — combined with accessible pricing through our Dice Goblin budget tier.
How do I get the best deals on themed dice sets from Forged Gaming?
The best way to catch sales and deals on Forged Gaming themed dice sets is to subscribe to our email newsletter at forgedgaming.com. We run seasonal promotions, bundle deals, and occasional flash sales that are announced to subscribers first. You can also check our website regularly for sale pricing, especially around major holidays. Our Dice Goblin line also offers themed metal sets at a lower price point year-round for budget-conscious collectors.
Are there Forged Gaming dice sets based on popular TV shows or movies?
Forged Gaming's dice sets feature original fantasy and gaming-inspired designs rather than licensed IP from TV shows or movies. Our themed sets draw on classic RPG aesthetics — dragons, dungeons, arcane magic, nature, and other tabletop tropes — so they complement virtually any campaign without relying on external licensing. If you're looking for dice that fit a specific setting or theme, our collections page has filtering options to help you find the right match.
What is Forged Gaming's return policy for themed dice sets?
Forged Gaming accepts returns on unused, undamaged products within the timeframe outlined in our Refund Policy at forgedgaming.com/policies/refund-policy. If you received a defective or incorrect item, contact us at info@ForgedGaming.com and we'll make it right. We want every customer to be happy with their purchase — if something isn't right, reach out and our team will work with you on a resolution.
RPG Dice Varieties
How do I ensure my dice rolls are truly random?
For truly random results, use a hard, flat rolling surface (a dice tray or hard table works well) and give the dice a proper throw with a wrist rotation rather than just dropping them. Metal dice like Forged Gaming's zinc alloy sets are precision-cast for balanced weight distribution, minimizing bias. For extra confidence, you can verify balance with the salt water float test. A dice tower also adds randomization by tumbling dice through multiple baffles before they land.
Where's the best place to learn about new Forged Gaming dice releases?
The best way to stay up to date on new dice releases from Forged Gaming is to subscribe to our email newsletter and follow us on social media. New products, restocks, and limited runs are announced there first. You can also bookmark our collections page at forgedgaming.com/collections/dice-collections and check back regularly — we update it whenever new sets arrive.
Why do some dice have unusual shapes like d24 or d30?
Standard RPG dice sets include seven polyhedra (d4, d6, d8, d10, d%, d12, d20) designed for Dungeons & Dragons and most tabletop RPG systems. Unusual shapes like the d24, d30, or d16 exist for specific game systems, niche mechanics, or as collector curiosities. Forged Gaming's sets focus on the standard 7-piece RPG set with occasional expanded sets, ensuring compatibility with D&D, Pathfinder, and the vast majority of TTRPG systems.
How do Forged Gaming's dice prices compare to competitors?
Forged Gaming operates two pricing tiers to suit different budgets. Our Dice Goblin line offers budget-friendly metal dice sets at accessible price points — quality metal dice without breaking the bank. Our premium Forged Gaming line offers higher-end designs and finishes at a mid-to-upper price range. Compared to the broader market, we aim to offer better value than boutique artisan brands while delivering a quality step above mass-market plastic sets.
Why do some dice sets include extra dice types like a d30?
Some dice sets include bonus dice types like a d30, d16, or extra d6s for specific game systems or as added value for collectors. Standard D&D/Pathfinder requires only the classic 7-die set (d4 through d20). At Forged Gaming, our core sets are built around that standard 7-piece configuration, though we occasionally offer expanded sets for players who want additional options. Check our collections page for current set configurations.
How can I tell if my dice are weighted or unfair?
The most reliable home test is the salt water float method: dissolve table salt in warm water until saturated, then float the die. Flick it gently and see where it stops. A balanced die will land on different faces each time; a weighted die will consistently show the same face (the lighter side faces up, meaning the opposite heavy side pulls it down). For precision-cast metal dice from Forged Gaming, significant weighting issues are uncommon, but this test is a great way to verify any set.
How does Forged Gaming compare to other brands for metal dice sets?
Forged Gaming stands out by offering both a premium line and the Dice Goblin budget line under one roof, so you don't have to choose between quality and price. Our metal dice are zinc alloy cast with engraved, color-filled numerals and come in a wide range of fantasy-themed colorways. We also offer a wholesale program for game stores, free shipping on orders $50+, and a straightforward return policy — making us a reliable choice for both individual collectors and retailers.
Can I get custom engraving on my Forged Gaming dice?
Custom engraving on individual dice sets isn't something Forged Gaming currently offers for retail orders. Our metal dice are precision-cast with fixed designs. For custom engraving on dice, third-party engraving services can work with metal dice — look for local trophy shops or online laser engraving services that handle metal. For wholesale or bulk custom orders, contact us at info@ForgedGaming.com to discuss options.
Can I buy individual replacement dice from Forged Gaming?
Forged Gaming primarily sells complete dice sets rather than individual replacement dice. If you've lost a die from a set you purchased from us, reach out to info@ForgedGaming.com — we'll do our best to help, whether that means sourcing a replacement or suggesting the best matching option from our current inventory. For standard d6 replacements, many local game stores carry loose dice that may serve as a practical stopgap.
Metal Dice Quality
How does Forged Gaming handle custom orders for metal dice?
For custom or bulk orders — such as event giveaways, wholesale quantities, or convention orders — contact our team directly at info@ForgedGaming.com or through our wholesale portal at forgedgaming.com/pages/ws-account-login. We work with game stores and event organizers regularly. Custom design work for one-off retail orders isn't available through our standard storefront, but wholesale partners may have access to additional options.
My dice have sharp edges — is that normal for metal dice?
Some sharpness on metal dice edges is normal and actually preferred by many players, as sharp-edged dice are generally considered more random than heavily rounded ones. However, if an edge feels dangerously sharp or jagged in a way that could cut skin, that's worth addressing. A light pass with very fine-grit sandpaper (2000+ grit) on the problematic edge can smooth it without affecting balance. If you received a set with defective edges, contact info@ForgedGaming.com and we'll help resolve it.
My metal dice feel uneven when rolling — how do I check their balance?
Try the salt water float test: dissolve table salt in warm water until the solution is fully saturated (a raw egg should float). Drop in the die and gently spin it. A balanced die will rotate freely and land on different faces. If the same face repeatedly comes up, that side may be lighter than average. For our zinc alloy sets, significant balance issues are rare, but if you suspect a defect, contact info@ForgedGaming.com with your order details.
My metal dice are chipping — is that normal?
Some minor paint or color-fill chipping in the number recesses can occur over time with heavy use, particularly if dice are frequently rolled on hard surfaces without a tray. This is cosmetic and doesn't affect rolling performance. Structural chipping or cracking of the zinc alloy body itself is not normal and may indicate a manufacturing defect. If you're seeing significant chipping on a recently purchased set, contact us at info@ForgedGaming.com with photos and your order information.
How do Forged Gaming's metal dice compare to other brands?
Forged Gaming competes on design variety, price accessibility (especially via Dice Goblin), and a range that serves both entry-level and enthusiast collectors. Our zinc alloy construction is the same material used by most quality metal dice brands. Where we differentiate is in our breadth of themed colorways, our wholesale program for game stores, and having both a premium and budget tier so players at any price point can own quality metal dice.
My metal dice feel unbalanced — can they be fixed?
Minor perceived imbalance in metal dice is often a surface or technique issue rather than a die defect. First, try the salt water float test to confirm whether there's a genuine balance issue. If the test confirms imbalance on a die from a recent Forged Gaming purchase, contact info@ForgedGaming.com — we stand behind our products and will work to make it right. Note that no mass-produced metal die is casino-grade precise, but they should be within an acceptable balance range for tabletop gaming.
How does Forged Gaming ensure fair rolls with their dice?
Forged Gaming's metal dice are precision-cast from zinc alloy molds designed for consistent weight distribution across each face. Our manufacturing process uses standardized molds and quality control checks to minimize variance. While hand-cast artisan dice may vary more, our production process keeps balance within an acceptable range for fair tabletop gaming. Using a dice tower further randomizes results by tumbling the die through multiple baffles before landing.

D&D Merchandise
How does Forged Gaming's dice quality compare to other brands?
Forged Gaming offers two distinct quality tiers: our premium Forged Gaming line and the budget-friendly Dice Goblin sub-brand. Both use zinc alloy metal construction, putting them well above plastic or resin dice in weight, durability, and roll feel. Against dedicated metal dice brands like Die Hard Dice or Norse Foundry, we compete strongly on price-to-quality ratio and design variety. Our wholesale program also makes us a top choice for game store owners looking to stock quality metal dice.
Where can I buy metal D&D dice near me?
Forged Gaming is available online at forgedgaming.com with free shipping on orders $50 or more, so you're never far from a great set. We also work with game stores through our wholesale program — check with your local game shop to see if they stock Forged Gaming products. If you need a set quickly, ordering online with standard shipping is typically the fastest and most reliable option, with the added benefit of our full collection being available.
Why are Forged Gaming's dice towers highly rated?
Our Wizard's Tower dice towers — available in Red and Blue — are designed for tabletop RPG use, featuring an internal baffle system that randomizes rolls, a padded landing area to protect metal dice, and a distinctive wizard's tower aesthetic that doubles as gaming room décor. They're compact enough for a gaming table and their construction means they stay put during play. Customer feedback consistently highlights the design quality and roll randomization.
How does Forged Gaming's free shipping work?
Forged Gaming offers free shipping on all orders of $50 or more within the United States. Orders under $50 are subject to standard shipping rates calculated at checkout based on your location and selected shipping method. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for time-sensitive orders. For wholesale orders, shipping terms are outlined in the wholesale portal. International shipping is available to select countries — rates and availability are shown at checkout.
Dice Organization & Storage
Why does my dice bag wear out quickly?
Dice bag wear typically comes from the weight and sharpness of metal dice causing friction against the bag material, or from opening/closing the drawstring repeatedly. To extend bag life, avoid overstuffing and consider storing heavy metal sets in a rigid case instead. For long-term storage, Forged Gaming's padded dice cases provide better protection for metal dice than fabric bags. Browse storage options at forgedgaming.com/pages/dice-storage-organization.
Where can I find Forged Gaming dice sets?
Forged Gaming dice sets are available directly at forgedgaming.com, where you'll find our full range of metal dice sets, Dice Goblin budget sets, and all of our accessories. We ship to the US and internationally. You can also find Forged Gaming products at select local game stores that carry our wholesale line — check with your nearest FLGS to see if they stock our products. For the widest selection and current availability, the website is always your best bet.
Can I get custom engraving on dice boxes from Forged Gaming?
Forged Gaming doesn't currently offer custom engraving on dice boxes through our retail storefront. For custom box engraving, local laser engraving or trophy shops can work with wooden or metal boxes. If you're interested in custom branded packaging for wholesale or event quantities, contact us at info@ForgedGaming.com to discuss what options may be available for bulk orders.
Dice Towers
How does Forged Gaming's dice tower pricing compare to other brands?
Forged Gaming's Wizard's Tower dice towers are priced competitively in the mid-range of the dice tower market. Compared to budget cardboard or basic plastic towers, ours offer a significantly better build quality and aesthetic. Against premium handcrafted wood towers from boutique makers, our towers offer comparable functionality at a lower price point. The goal is to give tabletop gamers a tower that looks great, works reliably, and doesn't require a premium markup for the experience.
Can I customize a Forged Gaming dice tower with personal artwork?
Our Wizard's Tower dice towers aren't designed for DIY customization out of the box, but creative players have used paint, decals, and surface treatments to personalize them. If you're handy with miniature painting or model weathering, the tower surface accepts acrylic paints well. For fully custom towers, local 3D printing services or woodworking craftspeople may be the right route. Contact info@ForgedGaming.com with questions about tower materials.
Where can I buy a custom dice tower?
For fully custom dice towers with personalized artwork or engravings, we recommend exploring options on Etsy (where many artisans make bespoke towers), or working with a local woodworker or 3D printing service. Forged Gaming's Wizard's Tower dice towers are our current tower offering — available in Red and Blue at forgedgaming.com/pages/dice-towers. They offer a distinctive design that suits most gaming tables without needing customization.
Unique D&D Accessories
How can Forged Gaming's products enhance my D&D sessions?
Forged Gaming products are designed to make every session feel more immersive and intentional. Heavy metal dice add weight and ceremony to every roll. A Wizard's Tower dice tower builds anticipation as the die tumbles through the baffles. A leather hex dice tray keeps rolls contained and adds a premium feel to your table. D20 keychains and enamel pins let you rep your love of the game off the table too. Browse our full range at forgedgaming.com to build the perfect setup for your campaign.
Where can I find reviews for unique D&D accessories from Forged Gaming?
Product reviews are available on individual product pages at forgedgaming.com. You can also find community reviews, unboxing videos, and user photos on Reddit (r/DnD, r/DicePorn), YouTube, Instagram, and BoardGameGeek. Searching 'Forged Gaming review' or 'Dice Goblin review' will surface a range of independent community takes. We always encourage customers to share their setups and experiences — honest reviews help new players find the right products.
What are the best sites to buy unique D&D accessories?
Forged Gaming (forgedgaming.com) is a great one-stop shop for metal dice, dice towers, trays, keychains, enamel pins, and game master accessories — with a wholesale program for stores too. Other well-regarded specialty retailers include Die Hard Dice, Norse Foundry, and Elderwood Academy for premium items. Etsy is excellent for handmade and one-of-a-kind pieces. Your local FLGS (friendly local game store) is also worth checking, especially if they carry Forged Gaming's wholesale line.
What are the top features of Forged Gaming's products?
Forged Gaming products are built around quality materials (zinc alloy metal dice, genuine leather trays), functional design (dice towers that randomize, trays that contain rolls), and accessible pricing through both the premium Forged Gaming line and the budget Dice Goblin tier. We also offer a wholesale program for game stores, free US shipping over $50, and a product range covering dice, storage, and tabletop accessories.
Metal Dice Sets
Are Forged Gaming metal dice sets available in different weights?
Forged Gaming's metal dice sets are cast from zinc alloy, which gives them a satisfying heft compared to plastic or resin — typically around 100–150g for a full 7-piece set depending on the design. We don't currently offer the same design in multiple weight variants. If you're looking for lighter metal dice for travel, our Dice Goblin line tends to feature slightly more compact designs. For the heaviest, most premium feel, our flagship Forged Gaming sets are the way to go.
What should I do if my metal dice are unbalanced?
First, confirm the imbalance with the salt water float test (dissolve salt in warm water until saturated, float the die, and spin it — a balanced die lands on varied faces). If a die from a Forged Gaming set consistently fails this test, reach out to info@ForgedGaming.com with your order details and we'll work to resolve it. Minor variance in mass-produced metal dice is normal for tabletop gaming purposes, but significant imbalance on a recent purchase should be covered by our return policy.
How do Forged Gaming's metal dice sets hold up over time?
Forged Gaming's zinc alloy metal dice are built for the long haul. The alloy resists cracking and structural damage under normal gaming conditions. Finishes and color fills can show light wear over years of heavy use, especially on hard surfaces without a tray. To maximize longevity: use a dice tray, store in a padded case, clean occasionally with a dry cloth, and avoid extended moisture exposure. With reasonable care, a metal set can last a lifetime.
Are there eco-friendly metal dice options at Forged Gaming?
Metal dice are inherently a more sustainable choice than disposable plastic or resin sets — a quality zinc alloy set built to last decades generates far less waste over time than plastic dice that crack or fade. Forged Gaming is committed to responsible manufacturing and we're always evaluating our packaging and sourcing practices. If sustainability is a priority, a long-lasting metal set is one of the best investments a tabletop gamer can make.
Why do my metal dice feel uneven when rolling?
Perceived unevenness in metal dice rolling is often related to surface type rather than the dice themselves — soft, textured, or uneven surfaces cause inconsistent results. For best results, roll on a hard, flat surface inside a dice tray. If you consistently see the same faces coming up after controlling for surface, try the salt water float test to check for genuine balance issues. If a Forged Gaming die fails the float test, contact info@ForgedGaming.com and we'll look into it.
How does Forged Gaming ensure quality in their metal dice?
Forged Gaming uses precision casting with zinc alloy and standardized molds to minimize variance in weight and dimensions across each set. Each product line goes through quality checks before reaching customers. Our two-tier system — premium Forged Gaming and Dice Goblin budget sets — maintains quality at both price points. If a product doesn't meet expectations, our return policy and team at info@ForgedGaming.com are your first stop.
